Mando Mexico participated in 2019 Mexican Foro de Automotriz, which was held in León,
Guanajuato in Mexico on November 13 and 14.
Foro de Automtriz is the largest automotive industrial fair in Latin America, hosted by the economic development bureau of Guanajuato and Guanajuato Automotive Cluster. Vehicle plants of OEMs such as Mazda, Honda, and GM, a VW engine plant, and many automotive parts companies are located in Guanajuato.
In this event, 300 booths were operated with the participation of 250 companies from 14 countries and about 6,000 regular attendees. The finished car companies Audi, Nissan, Mazda, Man Truck, Kenworth, and HKMC participated, and major Tier 1 suppliers such as Mando, Thyssenkrupp, ZF, and Bosch participated together with other Tier 2 and 3 suppliers.
MCM had been preparing to participate since August, organized by the Sales MX Team, and operated an exhibition booth and buyer desk on the event day for prior individual meetings with OEM buyers and promotion of Mando’s global status and advances into Mexico. OEM buyers were particularly interested in the high rate of localization of MCM' products, and individual meetings were held with more than 20 potential partner companies that wanted to do deals with Mando.
A Mando Mexico staff member said, “It was a good opportunity to promote Mando’s global status to local OEM buyers and many automotive parts companies, and to promote Mando's entry into Mexico. We will enhance local marketing and accelerate the localization rate with the discovery of companies.”
